Why Didn't Anyone EverTell Me That I Am A Cat?

I don't know why no one ever bothered to let me know that I am actually a cat.
The signs have been there all along:
1. I am mostly crepusucular and nocturnal.
2. I am far-sighted and have awesome night and peripheral vision.
3. I am always one rest away from another nap.
4. I like to nap in the sun.
5.I like a good lap and a good back scratch.
6. My house is filled with various cat figurines, otherwise known as Bastet idols.
7. My motives are mostly selfish, but not cruel. I am a creature of comfort and a total stranger to Protestant guilt.
8. I am somewhat solitary and like company only on my terms.
9. I don't have much use for the opposite sex except as a mate or to buy groceries.
10. I am adorable.
11. I am a Leo, born in the Chinese year of the Tiger and under the Celtic sign of the Cat and the Native American sign of the Cougar.
